I found this leaf stuck in the needles of a spruce tree. It almost looks like the tree has a firm hold of the leaf. I will have photos of the CB300 (Copper Basin 300) dog sled race coming sometime after tomorrow.

As I was coming home from work I noticed a moose on the road. When I looked closer I noticed two other moose as well. Since I was fairly close to the house I made a mad dash and grabbed the camera. Thankfully they were still there when I got back with the 20D. Also I am back... The summer has been busy, but it is slowing down now. I should be posting more often.

I took this photo on one of our day hikes. It got rather hot during the afternoon so if we wanted to go hiking it had to be done in the morning. It was great fun climbing over these rocks to get to our destination.

Before all my pictures were washed-out and you couldn't see the rainbow, but if you use low contrast on in-camera settings, the rainbow pops out. The mines closed down after is became too expensive to get copper out of them. This is a picture of the mill where they processed the copper. Since spring is finally here it has given me many more interesting subject to photograph. This being one of them. So I am not sure what they are. I took this picture for a little challenge a few of my friends and I came up with. We were going for abstract, so I figure you can't get much more then this :-D. I shot this in RAW format for added flexibility, and later converted it to B&W and added a little noise to give it that nice B&W feel. I will be gone Saturday and part of Sunday so there will be no photo of the day tomorrow and Sundays will be late. I actually quite liked it and the hand grip was to die for! It was nice and clear out that night, but had some great background clouds to complement the photo. It was a sweet piece of equipment! Best of all that night that he let me use it was a great sunset! For this shot I was fairly close. Closer then I would want to be if I hadn't been in a boat. The strange thing was even though we were in a really, really loud air boat the gator didn't care that we were there, and didn't even move. This is another Florida one... We were taking a boat ride in the Dora Canal when I spotted this guy. I just had to take this shot seeing that he was posing for me and all. I just couldn't resist taking this picture. She looked so funny! I like how the front of her nose is blurred and slowly comes into focus. Man do I love DOF! Hopefully I will be able to do that today. Very little editing was done with this picture. It was shot in RAW so I processed it, adjusted color, and removed some noise. Peaking over the horizon 2005-05-03T08:05:00.000-08:00 Yes, I did. I got up for the sunrise the other day. At around 5:00... Although the sun didn't come up till about 6:00. LOL what a photographer will do for a photo.
