Field of Dasies

Well I finally was able to get out yesterday and take some photos, this being one of them. I am quite pleased with the results. Just in case any of you are wondering I use a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2. The Z2 is my main camera that I use to take all of my pictures (unless otherwise noted).

Let the Sun Shine in

These are Gerbera Daisies. They are very cool flowers that where just sitting in a vase, calling my name, to take a picture of them. It helped that the sun was just perfectly shining through the window also. No editing cropping or anything was done to this picture. I only posted it to the web and cloned out a spot. It was a very easy edit and basically straight from the camera too.

Cherries

The one day at lunch we were eating some cherries, and they were a little moist from just being washed. So it gave me an idea. Why not take some macros? This is what I came up with.

Light of Many Colors

I finally discovered the key to taking rainbows! Before all my pictures were washed-out and you couldn't see the rainbow, but if you use low contrast on in-camera settings, the rainbow pops out.

MT. Blackburn

This is another picture from Kennicott, of
MT. Blackburn. I am very please with how this photo turned out, because the mountain was a little hazy from the smoke. Thank you for the comments. I wasn't sure I would have any since I didin't updating in so long.

still standing

This is another B&W I took at Kennicott. The same thing was done as the past two photos. I de-saturated it, added contrast, and put some extra grain in it. I am on a little bit of a B&W spree, but tomorrow should be something in color…

Kennicott

This picture was taken at the Kennicott Copper mines. The mines closed down after is became too expensive to get copper out of them. This is a picture of the mill where they processed the copper. I desaturated the image, added more contrast, added grain, and cloned out a few people. In this picture I was going for an old photo look, with high contrast.

Finally Posting Again!

I know I haven't updated this blog in a very long time... This summer has been very busy for me. I have been working a lot! Hopefully this picture will break my non-posting streak! Ok about the picture. This is an archive photo, but I just discovered it and was playing in PS a little. I kind of liked the grain & B&W combo together. Oh and just for the record that is a Lincoln! Not that I own it ;-)
